Before you make a top-up

Eligibility

To make MediSave top-ups to yourself or a loved one, you must be

A Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
Aged 16 or older

Top-up limits

The amount of MediSave top-ups one can receive is capped at the Basic Healthcare Sum (BHS). When you make a MediSave top-up online, you will be shown the amount of MediSave top-up you can receive before you reach the top-up limit.

If you are making a top-up to your loved ones, please check with your recipient directly on the amount he can receive.

If you are self-employed

To make top-ups to yourself or a loved one, you must make your MediSave contributions in full or be on GIRO monthly deductions under the Self-Employed Scheme.

MediSave top-ups cannot be used to offset MediSave contributions that are mandatory for self-employed persons.

Top-ups allocated to your MediSave Account cannot be used to offset your MediSave payable (if any).
