Why are platform workers who have not opted in to the increased CPF contributions ineligible to receive Workfare Income Supplement aligned to that of employees from 2029?

Platform workers who have not opted in to increased CPF contributions will continue to contribute to their Medisave Account only, like self-employed persons (SEPs). Thus, the Workfare Income Supplement for these eligible platform workers are aligned with SEPs.
