Generally, parents of children under age 21 would be informed of their children's MediShield Life coverage and premium matters.
Under the MediShield Life Act or Regulations, parents are legally liable to pay for their child's MediShield Life premiums until the child reaches age 21. Should the children's premiums remain outstanding and unpaid, premiums may automatically be deducted from parents' MediSave Accounts.
For divorced parents who do not have custody and are not liable to maintain their child, you can write to us with a copy of court documents for assessment.
