We strongly recommend using the NRIC number equivalent to your foreign nominee’s home country as your nominee will need to produce the official document bearing this number when they apply to withdraw a deceased member’s CPF savings.
If your nominee’s home country does not use an NRIC equivalent number for its citizens, please provide any other unique identification numbers by the home country’s government that is permanent. Your nominee must be able to produce the official document bearing this identification number when they apply to withdraw your CPF savings (upon your passing).
Nominees may face delays in receiving the deceased member’s CPF savings if they cannot produce the relevant documents bearing the unique identification number indicated in the deceased member’s CPF nomination.
