What should I do after deactivating the CPF Safety Switch?
For security reasons, the bank account you previously registered with CPF Board would be removed when the CPF Safety Switch was activated. Your bank account will not be automatically reinstated after deactivating the CPF Safety Switch, as your bank account may also have been compromised.

In order to receive CPF payments to your bank account again, you will need to register your bank account with CPF Board. You may also wish to review your registered contact details to ensure that they are up to date. If you are not intending to withdraw soon, you may consider lowering your Daily Withdrawal Limit or activate the CPF Withdrawal Lock.

Find out more about updating your registered bank account, Daily Withdrawal Limit, and activation of CPF Withdrawal Lock. Please note that increasing the Daily Withdrawal Limit, updating your contact details and registering a PayNow-NRIC linked bank account will require a 12-hour cooling period. All other bank account updates will generally take up to two working days to be activated after your bank confirms that the account belongs to you.
