As an appointed Trusted Contact, you play a role in helping to protect your appointer from potential scams. You will receive a copy of the notifications sent to your appointer when important transactions and updates occur in their CPF account. By monitoring these notifications, you can help to spot and alert them to any suspicious activities in their CPF account that may not be performed by them.
Notifications from the following CPF services will be copied to you when triggered by transactions in your appointer’s CPF account:
- CPF lump sum withdrawals for immediate retirement needs
- Contact details update
- Bank account update
- Daily withdrawal limit update
Your appointer will still receive notifications at their own registered contact.
It is important to note that
as a Trusted Contact, you cannot transact or make changes to your appointer’s CPF account on their behalf as your appointer has sole control of their CPF account. Your role is limited to receiving a copy of their transaction notifications and alerting your appointer when you notice any unusual or unexpected transactions or updates made in their CPF account. Learn how to
differentiate notifications you receive as a Trusted Contact from notifications meant for your own CPF account.
