Eligibility for Dependants’ Protection Scheme (DPS) coverage is subject to you being in good health at policy commencement.
As with any life insurance, Dependants’ Protection Scheme (DPS) coverage may be declined or deferred if a member has serious pre-existing medical conditions prior to policy commencement. This underwriting practice is essential to ensure the scheme’s viability and maintain affordable premiums for all insured members.
The DPS insurer will not consider claims from members who have serious pre-existing medical conditions, or have provided false or misleading statements or withheld relevant information in their health declaration.
