Flexi-MediSave is meant to help with recurrent outpatient medical expenses, which many older Singaporeans have raised as a key concern due to significant accumulated bill sizes over the longer term.
Flexi-MediSave can be used for select restorative dental procedures, i.e. permanent crowns and root canal treatments which can be relatively more costly. Other dental expenses are not covered under Flexi-MediSave and patients can benefit from generous government subsidies to cover costs – for example, at CHAS dental clinics and public institutions such as the polyclinics and National Dental Centre.
Nevertheless, you can use MediSave under the MediSave withdrawal limits applicable for day surgeries for selected complex dental procedures.
