Trusted Contact appointments or removal of existing Trusted Contacts must be made by the CPF member personally. Your loved one can make changes to their Trusted Contact appointment online via the
Add or remove Trusted Contact e-form.
As a third party, you cannot make decisions concerning another member’s CPF account unless you have been legally authorised to do so.
If your loved one has lost mental capacity and you are their Deputy or Donee, you can
write to us via Singpass to request the removal of appointed Trusted Contacts on their behalf, by providing the following documents:
- For Donee appointed under a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA): Submit the LPA document and a medical report certifying your next-of-kin’s loss of mental capacity
- For Deputy appointed by the Singapore Court: Submit the Deputyship court order
If your loved one has mental capacity but you wish to act on their behalf, you will need to
write to us via Singpass and furnish a court order authorising you to make such changes.
