The Annual Value (AV) threshold for Workfare Income Supplement (WIS) covers all HDB flats and some smaller private residences. In general, Singaporeans staying in larger properties with an AV above the threshold tend to have greater access to household wealth, making them ineligible for WIS.
The AV of a property is the estimated market rental of similar properties in the area, as determined by IRAS.
To assess your WIS eligibility, we use your NRIC address to check the AV of your place of residence. For accurate assessment, please ensure your NRIC reflects your current place of residence.
Under the National Registration Act, you are required to report any change of address within 28 days at the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA)
website.
