Before making any repayment, check that you have sufficient CPF Ordinary Account (OA) savings and verify that you have not exceeded the maximum amount of CPF savings allowed for your property. You can view your Home ownership dashboard to find your latest housing usage and usage limit (if any).
You can use your CPF savings to make a partial repayment or full repayment of your housing loan through the following methods:
If you have an HDB loan:
- Online Application
- Visit HDB's website and log in with your Singpass
- Navigate to: e-Services > Residential > Servicing your HDB Housing Loan > Make Partial Repayment of Housing Loan/Make Full Repayment of Housing Loan
- Processing time: generally within three working days upon the receipt of your request from HDB
- In-person at HDB Branch
- Complete the CPF withdrawal form (PHS9)
- Book an appointment via the e-Appointment system before visiting
- Processing time: generally within five working days upon the receipt of your request from HDB
Please note that all in-person services at HDB Branches require prior appointments.
If you are making a full repayment of your housing loan, your HPS cover (if any) will be automatically terminated when we are notified by HDB that you have fully repaid your loan. You do not need to inform the Board to terminate your HPS cover. Any unused HPS premium will be paid to your CPF OA.
If you have a bank loan:
- Seek approval from your housing loan financier
- Submit an online application with your Singpass
- For full repayment of housing loan, upload a copy of these documents in the application:
- The bank’s redemption statement and
- A copy of your lawyer’s legal bill (if any)
- Processing time: generally within five working days
If you are making a full repayment of your housing loan, your HPS cover (if any) will be automatically terminated when we are notified by the bank that you have fully repaid your loan. You do not need to inform the Board to terminate your HPS cover. Any unused HPS premium will be paid to your CPF OA.
