How do I avoid falling prey to malware scams?
You can take the following actions which were mentioned in the Joint Advisory by CPF Board, GovTech and the Singapore Police, to protect yourself against malware-related scam:
 
  1. Only download applications from official app stores to avoid malware being installed, especially for android users;
  2. Exercise the greatest of caution when turning on the phone’s accessibility services or allowing access as doing so will weaken the security of the phone;
  3. Always expeditiously update the mobile phone with the latest security patches.
