Do I need to have my disability status verified before I can be assessed for eligibility under the Matched Retirement Savings Scheme (MRSS)?
Whether you need to have your disability status verified for Matched Retirement Savings Scheme (MRSS) eligibility depends on your age and if you are already a verified person with disability with Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF).

What to do?

If you are 55 years old and above

No action required. You will automatically be assessed for MRSS eligibility every year even if your disability status is not verified with MSF.

If you are below 55 years old and have verified your disability status before 1 November of the current year

No action required. You will automatically be assessed annually for MRSS eligibility.

If you are below 55 years old and have not verified your disability status

You will need to have your disability status verified with MSF before 1 November of the current year to be assessed for MRSS eligibility annually from the  following year.
