How long does it take to process the applications relating to Home Protection Scheme?

Apply for Home Protection Scheme (HPS) cover / To adjust HPS cover
Five working days (Upon the receipt of your loan information from your mortgagee).
Longer time will be required if:
We are unable to obtain loan information from your mortgagee through electronic arrangement with the Board*, or
We need to further assess your eligibility for an HPS cover.
The processing time for applications submitted at the same time by the owner and his/her co-owner may differ as each application is processed and assessed individually.
*Mortgagees currently participating in electronic arrangement with the Board include:

Termination of HPS Cover
Five working days
Exemption from the HPS
Five working days (Upon receipt of your HPS Exemption application from your insurer(s))
Longer time may be required if:
i) you are using multiple private policies from different insurers;
ii) you have applied for an exemption share of cover lower than 100%.

PayNow QR: Generally be processed almost instantly
Authorise the Use of Ordinary Account Savings for Insured’s HPS premium
Three working days
Claim HPS benefits on Death Ground / Medical Ground
Upon receipt of your application and supporting documents, we will write to the relevant organisations / medical institutions directly to obtain the required information within seven working days.
Once all the requested information is received, we will process your application within five working days.
