I received an SMS from “CPF Board” informing me that there is a change in the Board’s SMS sender ID. Is it legitimate?

Yes, the SMS is legitimate. From 1 Aug 2022, the Board will use SMS sender ID, “CPF Board”, to send messages pertaining to your CPF, Workfare and Silver Support matters. You received the SMS because you have a registered mobile number with the Board. You may check or update your mobile number with your Singpass.

To protect yourself against scams, you are encouraged to keep the SMS on your mobile device so that you can be assured that any future SMSes received on this same Sender ID would be legitimate. Only the Board can send SMSes using this ID.
