Lead with purpose through CPF Board's MAP – a dynamic pathway designed to nurture future leaders who are passionate about making a difference. Our MAP is a 2+2 year programme. It begins with two structured rotations over a 2-year Junior Term, providing mentorship and practical opportunities for you to contribute across select functions that will establish a strong foundation for your career growth at the CPF Board.

Officers who perform well during the Junior Term may be invited to join a 2-year Senior Term which includes a third job rotation to further their career development.
Those who excel during the Senior Term may be selected to join the Board's talent management programme.

Eligibility

You are a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident, either fresh graduate or working professional with less than two years of experience.

Frequently asked questions

How does the structured rotation work?

Over 2 years, Management Associates (MA) will be rotated to departments across various domains under Policy and Corporate Development, Schemes Delivery, Agency Services, Enforcement and Infocomm Technology functions. There will be two rotations for the duration of the programme, with each lasting one year.

Will I get to select my preferred departments or roles for rotation?

We will discuss your preferences with you and take them into account along with our assessment of your background and skill sets. The final placement will be determined based on operational requirements and the availability of positions within the CPF Board.

What are the developmental opportunities?

MAs can look forward to a series of developmental opportunities such as quarterly connect sessions designed as peer-learning community and to foster mutual support, regular engagements with senior management for insights into leadership, one-to-one mentoring sessions for professional development, and opportunities to participate in cross-functional projects to gain exposure.

What happens during the 2-year Senior Term under Management Associate Programme?

Upon completion of the 2-year programme, MAs who perform well and demonstrate the potential to take on leadership roles will be invited to a Senior Term under MAP. During the Senior Term, MAs will be posted to another department, and they can expect to be given opportunities to lead projects and/or supervise teams.

Those who excel during the Senior Term will be considered for our talent management programme, which is designed to prepare them for future leadership roles within CPF Board.

What drew me to the MAP was the opportunity to explore different functions across the Board. The rotations mean you get to learn across various departments and job scopes rather than just one, giving you room to find where your strengths lie and build on them. For someone starting out, it was something I really valued.

The most meaningful part of my experience has been working on a product that supports multiple departments. It gave me a deeper appreciation for the nuances behind our schemes, and how every detail has been carefully thought through to support the pillars of retirement, housing and healthcare. Policy

I joined CPFB’s MAP because I wanted to kick-start my career somewhere I could explore different areas, take on new challenges and, most importantly, do meaningful work that makes a difference to Singaporeans.

The rotations have definitely been a highlight. From digital services to policy, each brought something different – new roles, new teams and plenty of opportunities to step outside my comfort zone. Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to learn from supportive supervisors and colleagues who were always willing to share their experiences and advice.

What made the journey extra special were the connections built along the way. The Board makes a real effort to keep MAs and NextGeners across different batches connected through workshops, activities and other get-togethers, so there’s always a wider community to learn from and have fun with!

My advice? Come in with an open mind, stay curious and embrace opportunities that may come your way. You never know where they might take you! 😊
