When will my employee’s CPF contribution rates change when they turn 55, 60, 65 or 70?
Your employee’s CPF contribution rates will change from the first day of the month after the month of their 55th, 60th, 65th or 70th birthday. This is because on their birthday, your employee is considered to have just turned the relevant age and remains in their current age group for that month. From the following month onwards, they will move into the next age group and the new contribution rates will apply.

Example
Your employee's 55th birthday falls on 13 January 2026.
