Q	Can my employer or insurer pay me in cash if I have used my MediSave Account to pay my medical expenses?

Your employer or insurer cannot pay you in cash for the part of your medical bill that has been paid using your MediSave. The cash must be refunded to your MediSave Account.

However, if you have used cash or MediShield Life to pay part of your medical bill, your employer or insurer has to refund you in the order of:

your cash outlay
payment from your MediSave Account
payment from your MediShield Life, if any.
