Why doesn't the CPF Education Loan Scheme cover postgraduate courses?
The CPF Education Loan Scheme was introduced in 1989 to help low income families support themselves or their children through a basic local tertiary education. Students who have graduated with basic tertiary qualifications have earning capabilities which enable them to build-up their savings for further studies. Universities also have various schemes, such as the Tuition Fee Loan Scheme and Study Loan Scheme, to help students pay their tuition fees.
