How do I apply to use CPF savings under the CPF Education Loan Scheme?

You are required to submit only ONE application form for each CPF member, for your entire course of study at the approved educational institution. You do NOT need to re-apply or submit a new application every semester unless you have enrolled into another approved educational institution.

If you are a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident, you may submit your application online through my cpf Online Services - My Requests using your Singpass. You must read the accompanying Terms & Conditions, and Procedures & Guidelines before you complete the online form.

The Board will notify the member of the amount of CPF savings paid out to the institution. For subsequent semesters, the tuition fees will automatically be paid to the institution, subject to the amount available for withdrawal from the member's Ordinary Account (OA) at the point of deduction. An administrative fee of $10.90 (inclusive of GST) will be charged for each deduction from the CPF member's OA.

The CPF member (whose CPF funds would be withdrawn) and you must each have your own Singpass and valid email account.

  • An email* with a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) will be sent to both the CPF member's and your e-mail address provided in your application form the next day, if your application is in order. Otherwise, you will be informed that your application has been rejected.
  • The CPF member* must log in through the URL provided in the email using his/her own Singpass within 14 days from the date the application was submitted, to agree to the use of his/her CPF savings. Otherwise, your online application will be rejected.

*This is not applicable if you are applying to use your own CPF.
