Why is our CPF usage capped based on the youngest co-owner's age? When the youngest co-owner relinquishes ownership of the flat, will our CPF usage limit increase?

CPF usage is capped based on the age of the youngest co-owner that purchased the property using his/her CPF. This encourage families to buy properties with sufficient lease to cover all co-owners for life.

If the youngest co-owner decides to relinquish his or her ownership of the flat, we will update the CPF usage limit based on the age of the next youngest co-owner and will send a written notification to all co-owners.
