If I had used cash, MediSave and MediShield Life for my medical bill, is there an order in which my employer or insurer should perform the reimbursement?
Subject to the contractual obligations, your employer or insurer should perform the reimbursement in the following order:

i. To reimburse you in cash, for the amount that you paid in cash
ii. To reimburse the amount of MediSave utilised from your payer’s or your MediSave Account, back to your payer’s or your MediSave Account
iii. To reimburse the amount utilised from your MediSave-approved Integrated Shield Plan or MediShield Life, back to the Integrated Shield Plan or MediShield Life

This minimises your cash outlay and restores your MediSave Account savings.
