I have just obtained my Singapore Permanent Resident status. Do I need to contribute CPF?

Yes, CPF contributions are payable from the day you obtained your Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) status.

In the first two years of obtaining the SPR status, you and your employer will contribute to CPF at graduated rates to help you adjust to the lower take-home pay. However, you and your employer have the option to apply jointly to CPF Board to contribute at higher rates.
