Do I need to inform CPF Board of my new Singapore Citizenship or Permanent Residency?

You do not need to inform us of your latest particulars when you become a new Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident. Your Singapore identity card number will be used as your CPF account number to transact with us.

However, if you are already holding an existing CPF account (example: SA123456D or TC987654B), you would need to inform us so that we can combine your CPF accounts. Please submit the following documents/information to us where applicable by post or in-person at our CPF Service Centres.

To facilitate your transaction with us, we will combine your CPF accounts within seven working days after we have successfully verified your identity.
