What happens to my CPF nomination upon marriage?

Your CPF nomination will be revoked upon marriage. When you get married, you will form a new family nucleus. Your nomination is revoked upon marriage so that you can reconsider your bequeath intentions based on your new family nucleus. This practice is similar to wills, which are also revoked upon marriage under the Wills Act.

You are strongly encouraged to make a new CPF nomination after your marriage if you want your CPF savings to be distributed according to your wishes.
