I encountered an error informing me that the name I keyed for my nominee was different from his NRIC/CPF Account No. How can I resolve this?

If your nominee is a Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident, you should key in the full name as per his NRIC including any commas, hyphens and spaces.

However, you should exclude the Hanyu Pinyin, Alias and Married name. See examples of NRIC names.

If you are still encountering problems in submitting your nomination, we recommend that you check the following:

  1. Avoid copy-pasting the details from another program or app as there might be hidden characters that might get copied. Key in the nominee’s particulars directly instead.

  2. If you are using an iOS device (such as iPhone or iPad), disable the “Smart Punctuation” feature in iOS (iOS device Settings > General > Keyboard > Turn off Smart Punctuation). This feature might create unrecognisable characters in the application form.

  3. Avoid opening multiple browser tabs. Use only one browser tab and clear your browser cache.

  4. Consider using a different device to submit your nomination if submission via your original device is still unsuccessful.

Please write to us if you encounter further issues. Alternatively, you may visit any of our CPF Service Centres to make a nomination.
