CENTRAL Provident Fund (CPF) members will continue to receive a guaranteed interest rate of 2.5 per cent on their Ordinary Account savings from July 1 to Sept 30 this year.

An extra 1 per cent will be paid on the first $60,000 of an individual's combined balances. This combined 3.5 per cent, however, applies to an amount in the Ordinary Account not exceeding $20,000.

There is no such cap for the other CPF accounts.

The concessionary interest rate for HDB mortgage loans - pegged at 0.1 percentage point above the CPF interest rate for the Ordinary Account - will remain unchanged at 2.6 per cent per annum for the same period (July 1-Sept 30).
